Course Description

Standard First Aid with  Level C (Lay Rescuer) CPR +AED for workplaces, first responders or home.  This two-day course covers all the skills in Emergency First Aid plus scene survey, patient assessment, choking, CPR Skills (Level C), AED awareness, bleeding wounds, shock, broken bones, poisoning, diabetes, medical conditions, and heat/cold injuries

  • Primary and Secondary Assessment
  • Unconsciousness
  • Shock
  • Adult, Child and Infant CPR
  • AED Awareness
  • Adult, Child and Infant Choking

Day 2

 

  • Wound Care
  • Bites and Stings
  • Burns and Eye Injury
  • Medical Emergencies
  • Head, Pelvic and Spinal Injuries
  • Bone & Joint Injury
  • Heat and Cold Illness
  • Triage
  • Rescue Carries

Successful candidates receive a Standard First Aid wallet card and wall certificate valid for three years, and a CPR Basic Rescuer (Level C) wallet card for 1 year (public) or 3 years (corporate, non health care).
